A veces no se porque posteo;

A. The backbench indicative vote plan
Led by the Tory former ministers Oliver Letwin and Dominic Grieve, and signed by more than 120 cross-party MPs, this calls for Commons business on Wednesday to be set aside for a series of indicative votes. It does not specify what options will be voted on, or how the votes will take place.

The week ahead for Brexit: third time lucky for May?

B. The pro-Brexit amendment
Tabled by a cross-party group of Brexiters, and signed by more than 80 MPs – the great majority Conservative – this notes that the Tories and Labour both stood in the 2017 election on manifestos promising to deliver Brexit, and says parliament “reaffirms its commitment to honour the result of the referendum that the UK should leave the European Union”.

C. The no-deal blocker
Tabled by MPs including Labour’s Yvette Cooper as well as Letwin (again), this notes the new date of 12 April at which the UK could potentially crash out of the EU if no plan is passed, and “instructs” the government to set out by the end of Thursday how it would prevent this.

D. The Labour indicative vote plan
Less prescriptive than the Letwin/Grieve amendment, this notes support for various Brexit plans, and calls on the government “to provide sufficient parliamentary time this week for this house to find a majority for a different approach”.

E. Independent Group calls for second referendum
The first amendment tabled by the former Tory/Labour breakaway MPs, and also signed by Lib Dem MPs, it calls for a second referendum to choose between a final deal and staying in the EU.

F. Other plan to block no deal
More technically prescriptive than amendment C, this says that if the UK is seven calendar days from leaving without a deal, the house should be recalled to consider a motion on whether or not MPs approve such a move.

G. Lib Dems call for second referendum
A parallel version of amendment E, this is also signed by MPs from the Independent Group. It seeks a two-year extension to Brexit to hold a new referendum.

El Acuerdo de May es tan deficiente, sea Ms May[be] Primera Ministra o exPrimera Ministra.

Además, Ms May[be] ya ha dicho que no se va a presentar a las próximas elecciones generales. ¿Qué pretenden entonces? Elecciones anticipadas.

(4) This decision cannot result in a situation which would amount to allowing one or more Member States to veto the effective management of the banking union or the future integration of the euro area. In particular, any referral to the European Council is without prejudice to the normal operation of the Union legislative procedure.

HAS DECIDED AS TRINC:

Article 1 1.

If, in relation to the legislative acts to which Section A of the Decision of the Heads of State or Government applies, the adoption of which is subject to the vote of all members of the Council, at least [X] member of the Council that do[es] not participate in the banking union, indicate their reasoned opposition to the Council adopting such an act by qualified majority, the Council shall discuss the issue. The Member State concerned shall justify [its]/[their] opposition by indicating how the draft act does not respect the principles laid down in the said Section A.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EU deal: Did PM get what he wanted?

What Cameron wanted: An explicit recognition that the euro is not the only currency of the European Union, to ensure countries outside the eurozone are not materially disadvantaged. He also wanted safeguards that steps to further financial union cannot be imposed on non-eurozone members and the UK will not have to contribute to eurozone bailouts.

What the draft deal said: "Measures, the purpose of which is to further deepen the economic and monetary union, will be voluntary for member states whose currency is not the euro.

"Mutual respect between member states participating or not in the operation of the euro area will be ensured.

"Legal acts... [between eurozone countries] shall respect the internal market."

What the final deal said: The language on monetary union was unchanged. On financial regulation, this line was added: "The single rulebook is to be applied by all credit institutions and other financial institutions in order to ensure the level-playing field within the internal market."

Assessment: Mr Cameron won guarantees that countries outside the eurozone, such as Britain, will not be required to fund euro bailouts and will be reimbursed for central EU funds used to prop up the euro. The deal also provides a right for any member state to escalate concerns about the impact of eurozone decisions for urgent discussion in the European Council.

But Mr Cameron ran into unexpectedly firm resistance from France on financial regulation. The French wanted to underline was that Britain would not win any "exceptions to the rules of the EU" - particularly in relation to regulation in the City - hence the addition of the "level playing field" line.

Mr Cameron got his explicit recognition that the EU has more than one currency - but it does not go as far mandating "multiple currencies".

"We have lost twice. We accept that”

Petition Map (by Unboxed)
