Blood, bullet, and shot pellets: Trump's ear open file
July 2024. An outdoor rally, the shots, the hand to the right ear, the bodyguards on top, and the raised fist with a blood-stained face. The official version closed the matter in hours: a lone shooter perched on a roof 150 meters away, a bullet grazing Donald Trump's ear, an assistant killed, and the attacker shot dead. Since then, Trump's ear — his wound, his blood, and his impossible scar — remains the point where the official story fails to fit for part of the public.
What the official version of the attack on Trump holds
The manual reconstruction says Crooks climbed onto one of the few roofs in the perimeter —
four or five, according to circulating counts — and fired at about
150 meters. One bullet grazed the candidate's ear; another killed a firefighter in the crowd. According to this reading, there was no setup: there was a monumental security failure and immense luck.
The most repeated argument by those who accept this version is the
razor of Ockham. With many cameras pointing in all directions, simulating something like this would require impossible coordination and the silence of hundreds of attendees. And Trump, they add, was already the favorite: he didn't need to fabricate a martyr.
Why it is disputed whether the wound was from a bullet or shrapnel
Here enters the detail that peine the box of thunder. The FBI director, Wray, himself hinted that Trump might have been hit not by a whole bullet, but by
shrapnel: a fragment detached from the projectile or a nearby object. This nuance, which initially lowered the epic, had the opposite effect: if it wasn't a bullet, the story of the ear grazed by a rifle unravels.
The analysis of the trajectory tightens. Some maintain there was an upward shot that hit a person located in the upper corner of the tribune, above Trump. If the shooter fired from above, the bullet had to go down, not up. The fit doesn't work, and no one has explained this geometry.
The semi-automatic weapon and the shot pellet theory
Another line of doubt centers on the weapon. The rifle attributed to the attacker would not be a precision rifle, but a mid-to-low-range model designed for rapid fire. With that iron, hitting an ear at 150 meters — and hitting without touching the eye, brain, or skull, which are
less than five centimeters away — borders on the miraculous. The most repeated calculation holds that, with a semi-automatic weapon and that distance, four bullets end up distributed in a ten-meter radius.
From this arises the shot pellet theory: that Trump was hit by a fairground projectile and not a rifle bullet, while someone in the crowd took the real ammunition. The small wound, late bleeding, and absence of destroyed cartilage fit this story better than the official one. It is, for now, an unconfirmed hypothesis.
The argument that weakens the setup: too many cameras
Against this, the most solid objection appeals to common sense, not media. Simulating a bullet impact live, with a present audience and numerous cameras recording, is a risk no conspiratorial mind would take. And there is a simple explanation for the blood: Trump doesn't bleed when hit, but when he ducks or lies face down, and the liquid runs by gravity toward his cheek.
The chronology of the images gives ammunition to setup skeptics. In the first gesture, the ear barely stains. It is later, with the face against the ground and agents on top, that the trail becomes visible. The wound doesn't change direction by magic: it changes the body's posture.
The regenerated ear and the religious reading
And then there is the detail that has aged worst: the scar. Over time, the absence of a visible mark — or the appearance of Trump without the bandage he wore for days — fueled the recurring joke of the ear that regenerates like a superhero's. If the tissue reconstructed without a trace, they ask, what wound are we talking about?
This is added to a layer bordering the esoteric. A reading of the ear circulates based on the Talmud (Kidushin 22b), the passage of the servant who renounces his freedom, and a numerology that pairs Trump with King David. No need to believe it to observe that some are using it as a prophetic framework, and these stories function as self-fulfilling prophecies.
What has peine with the attack investigation
The case has not been closed and probably will not be. A real investigation was requested, with acoustic proof of the shots, exact location of each detonation, and forensic examination of the wound. What has arrived, instead, is an official narrative that resists without need for evidence, in the style of great cover-ups that were accepted as good at the time.
That's where everything gets stuck. You can discuss the cameras, the blood, the weapon, and the shot pellets, but until the missing image appears — the shot from the right side, the impact, the trajectory — each side will continue to find in the same file the confirmation of what they already believed.
Loose data summarizing the case
- Attributed distance of the shooter: 150 meters.
- Available roofs in the perimeter: four or five.
- Differentiated shot bursts in the audio: three.
- Estimated dispersion radius of the semi-automatic weapon: 10 meters.
