Facing the impending winter, NATO, driven by Germany, is accelerating the shipment of weaponry to Ukraine, including Patriot systems and long-range munitions.

## Enhanced Air Defence

The **NATO** alliance is mobilizing to increase **Ukraine's** defensive capabilities ahead of winter. **Germany**, through its Minister of Defence, **Boris Pistorius**, has announced an urgent shipment of **Patriot PAC-2** interceptor missiles sourced from the **Bundeswehr** reserves. This measure aims to strengthen the country's air defense against adverse weather conditions and the persistence of the conflict.

In addition to the **Patriot** systems, more air-to-air **AIM-9** missiles will be sent, which are already being delivered. The initiative underscores the determination of **NATO** allies to provide continuous support to **Ukraine**. The **Bundeswehr** had previously committed defense systems including **IRST** and guided missiles.

## Long-Range Artillery and Support
The support strategy is not limited to air defense. The alliance also plans to deliver drones and long-range munitions to help stabilize the front lines. **Germany** will finance the acquisition of **tens of thousands of long-range artillery projectiles**. These munitions will be sourced through the **British Artillery and Air Defence Consortium**.
