The all-seeing eye and the Cross of Lorraine in your Oreo cookie
Everyone has seen the eye on the dollar bill. But did you know that the Oreo cookie also carries its own symbolism? A thread that has been accumulating findings for over 17 years has compiled hundreds of examples where logos, monuments and mass consumer products hide references to Freemasonry, the occult and the number 13. It is not a unified theory, but a scattered catalog that, looked at as a whole, is unsettling.
The number 13 and the U.S. seal
The dollar seal is already a classic: 13 arrows, 13 olive leaves, 13 fruits, 13 stars forming a hexagram over the eagle, 13 letters in “E Pluribus Unum” and 13 stripes on the shield. It is no coincidence: 13 is the number of transformation, but also associated with the 13 families that founded the Illuminati according to conspiratorial tradition. The design was approved by the founding fathers, many of them Guasons.
The Oreo and the Cross of Lorraine
The Oreo logo, according to analysis, contains an ellipse surrounding the letters, crowned by a Cross of Lorraine (or Anjou). This cross, of origin prior to the Dukes of Anjou, appears in Templar seals. The word OREO in Greek means “hill” or “mound”, but the symbolism goes further. Even the design of the cookie resembles the fruit of the pine and the pineal gland, related to the “third eye”.
The eye everywhere: from the WTC to the Vatican
The classic “sun with rays” of the World Trade Center is repeated in the Vatican and in the Supreme Court of Israel. Statues of Semiramis in the Capitol, Lucifer in the Retiro of Madrid, the “Starred Angel”. The statue of Isis appeared in 1905 during the works of the Paris metro, under the Bastille, and the Île de la Cité seen from the air has the shape of an Egyptian sacred boat. The all-seeing eye appears in public monuments in Lyon, Beijing, Hong Kong, London and Chicago installed by artists with clear initiatic inspiration.
Music as a vehicle for symbols
In heavy metal, horns and satanic symbolism are commonplace. Michael Kiske, former vocalist of Helloween, apologized for the use of these symbols in the scene. But also in pop: Rihanna forms an eye with the arms of her dancers, Katy Perry appears with a clock showing 11:11 (number of spiritual awakening), and the mascot of the London 2012 Olympics, Wenlock, was criticized for its phallic shape and its single eye. All part of an alleged mind control program, according to the thread's analysts.
Coincidence or design?
Those who defend these theories point out that the repetition of patterns cannot be casual. Skeptics argue that it is confirmation bias: any symbol can be fitted into a conspiratorial narrative if similarities are sought. But the volume of cases, from Antiquity to current logos, raises a question that neither side fully answers: why do elites repeat the same signs over and over again?
