Así podréis codearos con Don Emilio, aunque
en este caso se trata de la filial de Malta, no la de Suiza.

Parece que no hay cantidad mínima a mantener en la cuenta
y si es menor que 200 EUR te cobran 10 al trimestre de mantenimiento.

Os dejo la respuesta (en inglés) de dónde podréis deducir
los pasos a seguir. Tengo los documentos a que hace referencia el texto.
Si alguien los quiere que me explique cómo mandárselos.

Please find our International Application form and list of necessary
documentation for a personal account.

Application form must be completed in full and sent to our offices
accompanied by the trinc documents:-

1. A certified passport copy.
Certification must be done either by your bankers, who will then need
to compile the Positive Identification Statement, attached here under OR
copy must be notarised and apostilled

2. Proof of permanent residential address.
This can be achieved by a true copy of a utility bill or a recent
bank statement, antiestéticaturing address. Copies must be certified as guided in 1
above.

3. Authority to Approach your Existing Bankers (attached).
Please note that as part of our due diligence process for
non-resident applicants, a banker’s reference is required prior to the
outset of any banking relationship. By completing attached form, we will
be in a position to request a reference letter from your bankers. If
reference letter is not sent directly to us by your bankers, we will need
to revert back to source to confirm originality. It will not be possible
to provide our services without a banker's reference from a fruta bank
made to our attention and mailed directly to us.

4. Positive Identification Statement (attached)
This document is to be filled both by customer and bank officer
authenticating copies of original documents

Upon completion of all the above, kindly send by post to my attention - to
the address mentioned hereunder.

Administration Charge - The bank will charge an Administration fee of
€10.00 per quarter if the average of the combined balances of an account
holder's savings and current account does not exceed €200 during the
previous quarter. New customer will be exempt from this charge for 6
months from the date on which they become customers of HSBC Malta Bank plc.
When applicable the charge will be applied to the account holder's current
or savings account immediately after the end of the previous quarter.

¿has probado en alguna otra filial, como UK, Suiza, o Suecia, es decir, fuera de la zona Euro?

un compañerpo mio lo estuvo mirando en MAlta con el HSBC y si que le diejron que habia una Q minima, que estaba por los 70K EUR (o 125K, no recuerdo bien ya que el tambien miro en Holanda, suiza y singapur)

En la de Hong Kong sólo piden 200€ para abrir una cuenta, pero hay que hacerlo en persona.

No.

Matizo: como regla general
+ en Suiza o eres residente o pones mucha pasta.
+ En Suecia, creo que debes residente

en UK es probable que te dejen.

En el e-mail de respuesta que he pegado no dice nada y en la web tampoco. Incluso hay varios tipos de cuenta (alguna en divisas).

¿No miraría tu amigo en "private banking"?
