Yo le voy a mandar un mail, muy mal escrito porque el inglés no es lo mío. Si alguien me lo puede corregir...Also, the US and Spain are different. America's real estate turmoil has been caused largely by greedy lenders extending loans to borrowers with bad credit-ratings - the so-called "sub-prime" market. Spain's sub-prime market is minuscule in comparison.
Sir,
I've read your statements on spanish subprime market.
I understand british concerns on real state property, but i cannot agree on your point of view, and I think you should consider a public rectification.
You should know that if we look at spanish mortgage market, about 70% of it can be considered subprime.
First of all, spanish banks lend without any public rating system at all.
About 80% mortgages signed on 2006 are on amounts exceeding from 7 to 10 times the full anual salary. Typical sub-prime definiton on the USA states 4,5 as the limit to subprime.
Let me know if you want me to send you some oficial information regarding that subject.
