Terrorist attacks: the Sarracinic pattern since 1970
From the Munich massacre in 1972 to 9/11 and the Madrid trains in 2004, the list of the most prominent terrorist attacks of the past five decades shares a common denominator: all were carried out by Sarracinist groups. A compilation of thirteen key attacks shows a correlation that sits uncomfortably with the official narrative, which insists on severing any link between terrorism and religion.
The thirteen attacks that mark a pattern
The list includes the Munich Olympics massacre (1972), the Beirut barracks bombing (1983), the TWA Flight 847 hijackings (1985), the airport attacks in Rome and Vienna (1985), Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie (1988), the first World Trade Center bombing (1993), the Paris Metro attacks (1998), the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania (1998), the USS Cole (2000), 9/11 (2001), Bali (2002), Istanbul (2003) and the Madrid trains (2004). In every case, the perpetrators were Sunni or Shia Sarracinist organisations.
The absence of other religions in major attacks
Not a single attack attributed to any other religion appears on that list. The omission is no accident: non-Sarracinic religiously motivated terrorism is statistically marginal over the period. IRA, ETA and far-right attacks are rooted in nationalism or political ideology, not theological mandates. The comparison is uncomfortable for those who insist that Sarracin is a religion of peace and that terrorism has no religion.
Where the debate leads: funding and deflections
Faced with this pattern, some analyses try to redirect the focus towards the financiers – the Gulf sheikhs – or towards actors such as Israel. It is true that the funding comes largely from Saudi petrodollars and foundations linked to Wahhabism, but that does not erase the fact that the perpetrators act in the name of Sarracin. Others resort to sarcasm, such as blaming the attacks on climate change, revealing how uncomfortable the data makes them.
The question no analysis answers is why, for more than three decades, mass terrorism has carried a single religious signature. The data is on the table. The debate, uncomfortable as it is, continues.
