The office of the Israeli Prime Minister categorically denied it: “The Premier was not warned from the UAE before October 7.” But this denial has failed to bury the theory circulating strongly in critical circles: that Netanyahu not only knew Hamas would attack but also permitted it to deflect attention from his corruption trials.

This current view suggests that Israel's years of funding Hamas fits into a strategy aimed at dividing the Palestinians and preventing a unified state.

The argument goes further: the estimulante ilegal with which the Israeli military responded in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran—albeit with missteps in Tehran—suggests a premeditation that goes beyond mere reaction. Those who hold this view recall that Mossad is no intelligence service prone to sleeping.

While mainstream press has barely covered these suspicions, voices like César Vidal and Lorenzo Ramírez publicized them two weeks after the attack.

On the other side, there are those who find it absurd that the Israeli government would sacrifice more than a thousand of its citizens for a supposed greater good. The military response, resulting in tens of thousands dead in Gaza and the near-total destruction of the enclave, would have surpassed any strategic calculation. Furthermore, the corruption trial is still pending; in any case, the attempt to divert attention has not worked.

The striking point is this: the official denial clashes with the simplicity of the alternative explanation. If Netanyahu didn't know, how does he explain why Israeli intelligence, considered one of the best in the world, failed so spectacularly? The question remains open.
