Magníficas imágenes, había leído sobre algunos de los hechos y batallas, pero no había visto imágenes como estas sobre ellos.

Buena aportación...no como otros.

Me he apresurado desesperadamente a comprobar si habia alguna foto de la batalla de Midway que no habia visto y efectivamente, hay varias. Mi thanks está más que justificado.

On Kiska Island, after Allied troops had landed, this grave marker was discovered in a small graveyard amid the bombed-out ruins in August of 1943. The marker was made and placed by members of the occupying Japanese Army, after they had buried an American pilot who had crashed on the island. The marker reads: "Sleeping here, a brave air-hero who lost youth and happiness for his Mother land. July 25 - Nippon Army" (U.S. Navy)


Parece ser que los ocupantes japoneses de la Isla de Kiska, en las Aleutianas, no eran tan fanaticos como se les suponia a todas las tropas japonesas. No solo enterraron decentemente el cuerpo de un piloto enemigo sino que además le dedicaron un maravilloso epitafio.

Several groups of Japanese soldiers were encountered in this manner by U.S. troops, who reported that the Japanese realized they were trapped and decided to either attack in suicidal Banzai charges, or (as in this photo) to commit hara-kiri as a group, killing themselves with their own hand grenades. Como puede nadie llegar a ser tan cinico, tan puerco, tan poco equilibrado, tan poco agradable e hijo de mil pilinguis como para intentar negar, ocultar, disculpar o matizar una cosa como esta?.
No hay excusa, no hay explicación ni humana ni racional para esto. Es una verguenza que seres semejantes a mi cometieran y permitieran que esto sucediera. Todo el pueblo alemán fué culpable y no valen disculpas de que otros fueron peores, eso no les hace menos culpables.

Hitler pudo ser todo lo buen estadista que quieran pero lo fué para su tribu y NINGUNO DE USTEDES PERTENECE A ELLA ni pertenecerá nunca.

Lo que sí somos todos és seres humanos ni mejores ni peores que otros, cosa que hubo que hacerles ver a estos salvajes a base de bombazos.
