:Baile:WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The U.S. Mint is suspending its production of presidential dollar coins for circulation, Vice President Joe Biden announced Tuesday, a move expected to save the government at least $50 million a year. More than 40% of the $1 coins issued by the Mint have been returned to the Federal Reserve, "because nobody wants to use them," the White House said. Halting production is part of the Obama administration's effort to cut government waste, Biden said.
