 Concretamente, que 7. En un estudio que incluye a 57 paises, el pais mejor situado para remontar la crisis es Dinamarca (numero 1). Nosotros somos el 50. El estudio viene de la prestigiosa (todas lo son, no?) escuela de negocios Suiza IMD. Os copio el articulo publicado en The Times, que logicamente se centra en el caso britanico. UK ‘poorly placed to recover from recession’ - Times Online IMD, the Swiss business school, ranked the UK 34th out of 57 countries, based on forecasts for individual economies in 2009 and opinions on the attitude, adaptability and resilience of governments and society. China was ranked at No 18, Germany was No 24, Ireland No 25 and the US No 28. The researchers said that the UK was in a “disquieting position, just as is France [44th], Italy [47th] and Spain [50th], emphasising how much the recovery in these countries may be hampered by structural rigidities”. The stress tests suggested that “small nations that are export-orientated, resilient and with stable sociopolitical environments were best-equipped to benefit immediately from the recovery”. Denmark, Singapore and Qatar were the best-placed. Iceland, a small nation that might find it more difficult than most to bounce back, was not included in the research. The researchers said that some data was collected in 2008, before the full force of the recession was felt. The tests are part of the school’s annual world competitiveness scoreboard, which this year shows that the US remains the most competitive country, followed by Hong Kong and Singapore. Venezuela is the lowest ranking of the 57 countries analysed.  |

Aunque la discusión sobre productividad y balanza comercial no terminó con conclusiones claras, hemos de preguntarnos, como puede ser, que el pais, supuestamente más competitivo, tiene el segundo deficit por cc. relativo del mundo. Mi teoría: El indicador está bíen, lo que no sabe moldearse bíen a este, es la realidad...

Ronald, espero que funcione este link. http://www.economist.com/markets/ind...ry_id=13652151 Puedes ver como USA ha reducido el deficit por cuenta corriente a un 3,3% PIB, desde creo que un 8% antes de la crisis. En valores relativos ya estan peor Australia, Polonia, Arabia Saudita, Chile... y, por supuesto Spain. Alucinante Grecia, por cierto. Deficit anual de mas de un octavo de su economia -12,8%. |

| Nuestra manera de salir de las crisis siempre ha sido a base de crear una burbuja aun mayor. Y si, tenemos gente muy, muy bien preparada a la hora de fomentar burbujas. |
